Thanks for viewing our page!.. One of Philippine's premier Hiphop/R&B groups; released an album in 1994 through Polycosmic Records; we did "Check Da Hood", "Saturday Night", "Funky Homosapien", "Templo", and "From Da East". Considered as one of Philippine's high-caliber rap groups, 4 East Flava made its mark on the Hiphop map through its carrier single, "CHECK DA HOOD." First an underground rap group called GANGSTA HOOD in 1993, 4 East Flava is the first Hiphop/R&B group from the Philippines that came out with a female mc! She is known as "Jug" or "Honeyluv" to her peers, and now runs Butta-Flava Entertainment. 4 East Flava performed for almost a year before signing a contract with Polycosmic Records in 1994. Their debut album, "Too Much Flava", was released in August of 1994 and immediately caught the public's attention with their hit, "Check Da Hood." Through radio, tv, clubs and especially, mobiles all over the country, "Check Da Hood" elevated the Mack, Prince, MC Shorty, Honeyluv, Dj Mec, and Dj Edge as Hip-hop artists, along with the likes of Mastaplann, Death Threat, and Legit Misfitz during that time. Along with the carrier single, "Too Much Flava" boasts songs with Rap and R&B flava which are all infectious and appealing. They went on performing in the mainstream until early 1996 while recording unreleased tracks in late '95 and early '96. From then on, until 1999, the members went on their separate ways to work and engage in other things. In mid '99, recording of Butta-Flava 1 Compilation Album began. The group no longer had its 2 Djs and 2 male rappers then, but through its leaders, Mack and Honeyluv, 4 East Flava went on and added two very talented R&B singers, Gazelle and Layzie Fu. In addition, Norman a.k.a. the Mythical Stentor also joined the group as one of its rappers. Today, the only female member, Jug Honeyluv is active in the underground and independent scene as 1/2 of the female R&B/Hip-Hop duo, BUTTA-FLAVA

Compilation which was the Label's First Release..The Group became popular or known as Staple artist on DM 95.5 Drive By show which was Hosted by Andrew E. himself. but After their First Album..they part ways with Andrew E...Oblaxz released their second Album (Ang Testamento) under Concorde Records.. After that Album there were rumors that Oblaxz & Dongalo has a feud going on...the issue became a big when I.P.K. a fellow former Dongalo Artist released the K.A. Lahi Compilation..That leads to the Two Groups Own Label..Named IPK-Oblaxz Music.. which feature new rap artist..But the feud was Proven when Dongalo released the Ghetto Doggs 2 Album...were lyrical shots was fired at former Dongalo artist & K-9 Killaz (that's another story)..Oblaxz released Two More Albums (Perdegana & Forever) which still contains tracks retaliating to their former Camp...Now A new Oblaxz album is Coming Soon..which was stated on their Rap Game One Compilation. Urban Flow is the group responsible for the 1996 megahit "Miss Pakipot" from the album "Test the Flow" under OctoArts . That album ruled the airwaves at that time with singles such as "Balaleng" and "Lumayo ka". The group released two more albums entitled Ghetto Celebs and Mass Comm still under the same label. In 2003 the group’s fourth album entitled Magik Kaway now under Viva Records was supposed to be released but for unknown reason the record label never put it out on the market.Since then the members went on different solo projects. Dj Arbie 1 also known as the Beatraveler can now be seen doing solo gigs & with the Harcore group Pamilia Dimagiba. Then Sunny Blaze together with Mista Blaze formed the Ilonggo Rap duo Ill Pride. Now the questions: Did they already disband? , Can we expect another album from the original rap balladeers?

The hip-hop collective known as Pamilia D. (or P.D. to others) is widely recognized as Manila’s premier hardcore rap group. Pamila D. is composed of several MCs (Young Galaxy, 8th Messenger, KD the Encyclopedik, Shadowblyde, Mad Frick,) and award-winning music producer/director DJ Arbie Won aka the Beatraveler. Aside from being part of the boom of local Skate scene in the late 90’s, and being independent since 1997, the 6-man crew from Manila gained instant respect and recognition when they released their landmark EP Broke-N-Unsigned.

Broke-N-Unsigned was the spearhead release of the group, as each emcee delivered rough, unpolished aggressive lines, and to their credit, birthed them into the hip-hop scene of the P.I. From there many artists requested for a Pamilia D. collaboration on their albums: El Latino(UNIVERSAL RECORDS), Legit Misfitz (EMI), Urban Flow(0CTO ARTS), Fung Zoi(UNIVERSAL), DFT and spots in the United Freestyles Vol. 2 and WARNER MUSIC’S REkOGNIZE compilation.

The year 2000 brought forth another EP release from Pamilia D. in the form of Dra*Manila. More conceptual based than Broke-N-Unsigned but more fluid and musically ripe for newer listeners, that release eventually declared Pamila D. as a legitimate hip-hop crew, while most groups dont even see the day of light past their debut albums.Pamilia D. has set forth on releasing their first full-length album called “THE RESISTANCE”.

In a fledging music industry that refuses any sort of risks, Pamilia D. refuses to stand still and let the powers that be initiate some sort of change. Instead of riding on the usual gimmicks, Pamilia D. has set forth on releasing their first full-length album called “THE RESISTANCE”. Backed again by DJ Arbie and a rejuvenated sense of urgency, this third release seems to be what the hip-hop scene has been lacking for the past five years. A testament of longevity, passion and street credibility, THE RESISTANCE will be the launch pad for the group and even securing each MC with a solo venture. Seven Shots started back in 1994, a time when hip-hop was not as popular as other music genres here in the Philippines . Mickey Marques and Harry Javier and four other individuals got together and formed the group (but back then the name of the group was Phalanx-a Greek name meaning front line army). Their group played pure, straight-up underground hip-hop with 4 mics and 2 turn tables, with hopes that they too would share the limelight and music, much as so with Masta Plann, Francis M., Andrew E. and other hip-hop names at that blew up in that era. Listening to the music of Dr. Dre, Wu Tang Clan, Tribe called quest, Nas, TuPac, LL Cool J, Run DMC and Rakim, which were their heroes lead them on to create their own style of music. As years went by changes in the groups with regards to their members and their music evolvement lead them to what we know now as Seven Shots of Wisdom. In March of 1997, members Harry, Mario and Mickey wanted to try to fuse melodies in their rap compositions. Thus Phillip Mallillin, a friend of Harry, sang in one of their songs entitled “Summer Time” which was never released, and three months later Mickey was introduced to Kim Fabros who sang to him at a sari-sari store and was taken away by her singing prowess. One thing lead to another, songs after songs were created, and eventually they became apart of the group and finally they found their musical identity which was R&B and Hip-hop.

They were eventually discovered and signed by Mr. Lino “Boom” Dayupay of the group named KULAY under his own independent label”Vibestation Records”. Mr. Dayupay took them under his wing and helped them hone their craft. And in November 1998 they released their album”Lifted” with their carrier single”Who’s got the Funk?” distributed by BMG Pilipinas. This was shortly after the death of KULAY member Jeanne Oakman. They did shows in every club, school, TV, radio, and shows in every part of the country (Please see list for reference) which lead them to be nominated in the 1999 Awit Awards Best Rap Group and Best Dance Category, and won Best Rap Performance at the 1999 Katha Awards. And the year after that, they were nominated as Best New Artist in the First 2000 MTV Phil. Awards. Also in the same year they released their first ever video for the first single”Who’s got the Funk”.

Seven Shots from 2001 up to present:

After a period of time Seven Shots shone the limelight to make way for their studies, work, and family, but still doing’ some shows on the side. And in 2002 they decided to come back and record their 2 nd album under the management of Radha (former member of KULAY) and Mike Tinsay under the record label Bigdogg Records. They also added new members to their roster, PJ Sales, a friend of Harry J. who can sing R&B and Monique Jaramillo who stood out when Seven Shots held an audition for a new girl singer, which turned out that Monique can also rap to boot.

It took them a year to finish the album, with producers Dan Gil of Soundminds, Ryan Armamento of SVC, and San Francisco Bay Area’s Rapper/Producer Paul Sirate who came back to the Philippines to release his own album, all worked together to create Seven Shots sophomore album called”Love and Hate” under the distribution of EMI Phils. Their recent shows were made possible by working with the company who brought the game sensation called”RAGNAROK”, Level-up Inc. who believed so much in the group they took them to their promotional shows everywhere. With level-up’s new release of a new game expansion”War of the Emperium” Seven Shots and Paul Sirate (aka P.K.S.O.) wrote the song”Step inside the Game” as its main theme song. Other shows to mention: regular gigs in Dish Rockwell and Club V in Amorsolo. Soon to be released is their second video and single called “All I want” which was directed by one of the local pioneers of hip-hop Mr. Francis Magalona. They also made it to front act to one of the world’s premiere Hip-hop acts”BlackEyedPeas” who popularized the songs”Where is the Love”,”Shut Up” and”Hey Mama” this by far is one of the most proud moments of their careers.

With a bight future ahead of them and with talks of an upcoming third album, Seven Shots will still stop at nothing to represent the music and culture that they’ve grown with and embraced.

Way back in 1993 when it comes to rap groups Mastaplann & Death Threat were the ones who were dominating the Airwaves.. Until in 1994 a Rap group that goes by the name of Legit Misfitz emerged and became a competition to those two group that came before them...Spearheaded by Boom (of Kulay), Legit Mizfitz is composed of Dash & Jhego (former dancer of Boom), they're known for their Masa/Party Type of rap.. Their debut album "Sons of Fliphop" was released in 1994 with the tracks "Jabongga", "Trapik" & "Air Tsinelas" that became instant hits... and marks another landmark in the history of local hip-hop/rap...

Two years after they released their sophomore album "Ekis Pinoy(Bahala Na Generation)" with "Lotto" & "Chamama" as singles that also became instant hits.


1997 was the year when "Balik Sa Lumang Eskwela" album was released but unfortunately the album is not as successful compared to their previous albums..

Fast Forward to 2002..5 years since their last album... Legit Misfitz came back with a brand new album "100 Porsyento"..and with the track "Magasin" which is a revival of Eraserheads Hit song as the carrier single.. Plus they guested artist from other camps.. This album can be considered as more focused than their previous ones.. But this is also their last album together as Legit Misfitz..

A year after Legit Misfitz last album they released a compilation entitled P-Noize under their own label Phunky Juan Ent. which features tracks from D-Coy, Lady Diane, Misteazas, Urban Flow, Jhego and Legit Misfitz themselves for their last track together up to this day...

Chinese Mafia’s debut album was released in 1998 by Neo Records, appeared on numerous compilation albums, movie soundtracks and featured on other artists’ albums from 1996 up to the present. The duo complements each other with their contrasting styles. Chi-Nigg being the playful and funny MC while Klutch-B the serious and deep versed lyricist. Both have appeared in a motion picture but Jeffrey Tam (Chi-Nigg) tried to pursue it further. Their 2nd album is yet to be released in music stores.
