Random Interview with Mike Swift

I was there, the first Araneta Dreams created by sir Mike Swift, i did along with
my sister support that dream, i also write a review of that event
it was dope, it was adventurous, fearless, and can be a bit risky but it is what it is.
It's a dream by one guy who has a big faith in local hiphop, a dream that local fans shared too
and this year Road to Araneta is coming again,
i was able to talk with sir Mike Swift, so what have we discuss?
read below:

-------------------------------------

PHS: What's up sir? whats new?

Mike Swift: Series of many things. Ever since i came into this game,
i had been consistent with newness

PHS: i can see that your busy with something too... can you tell about us about it?

Mike Swift: Latest is the R2A 2015 journey. I basically put together a self made tour with the agenda of bringing awareness to the world about our April 9 Araneta Dreams project.

PHS: Speaking of R2A ngayon lang kita matatanong about the first R2A that happen a year ago? i have my own review of that event, pero para sayo, how was it?
do you think it went perfect? meron ka bang plano that day that didn't take place? do you have any other surprise that didn't happen?

Mike Swift: Everything went PERFECT!

PHS: is there's anything you need to improve from that first one? and what can we expect from this year april 9?

Mike Swift: We are going to improve on every aspect of our presentation. One thing you can expect...... SURPRISES!

PHS: do you think that this year can be better than the first one? do you think there's still
momentum in hiphop? or do u think it's declining

Mike Swift: I think we lost momentum on 2014 because of the many culture vultures that arrived with intentions to exploit the hotness of our hardwork.  That mixed with thirsty artists who were willing to be fooled, we fell back a step or two. But i can guarantee you a fired up and active 2015 for hiphop ignited by this R2A plan that is sure to shake up not only the pinoy hiphop scene, but to tremble the world.

PHS: sa sariling mong opinion sir although hiphop is getting some airwaves nowadays what else does Pinoy hiphop need?

Mike Swift: A make over! An international na local mover and shaker, more skilled warriors, a lesson in dignity and ethics, and a miracle! Hotter songs! We need that for sure.

PHS: Do you think we need foreign acts? does that snoop and em a teaser or a preview of something or a dream?

Mike Swift: A dream preview of a dream come true - i would love to have foreign acts, so they can open up for us in Araneta Dreams.

PHS: but like your stats a day ago, do you think they will just eat our artist, do we need them for our leverage?

Mike Swift: we can not afford them anyway, and if we can, i really would rather that money go to our locals, para naman madagdagan ang belief pa natin sa mga sarili natin at makagawa pa ng mga bagong projects na makakatulong sa pagunlad ng sariling atin!

PHS: i would agree to that sir. So with better songs, and better artist, what else do we need?
how do you think pinoys would make hiphop stronger, and ano pa kaya ang nakita natin sa R2A na di pa natin napapakita in this coming April 9

Mike Swift: Halos lahat   surprises upon surprises. I suggest for no one to blink.

PHS: to wrap this up sir... give your message to your supporters and promote what it is to promote

Mike Swift:  THE COLISEUM (Araneta Dreams 2015)  , enough said.

PHS: Lastly give your shoutouts

Mike Swift: Shout out to the universe! I know god's listening.

PHS: Thank you sir

what to expect this coming April 9, 2015??? that is for us to find out - PHS

Random Interview: with Klumcee by Asha Mojica

Klumcee:
Producer / Songwriter / Composer / Arranger / Mix Engineer / Recording Artist / Nocturnal

---

Asha: Why do you chose your A.K.A? What does it mean?

Klumcee: When i was in high school i had the most number of shot glasses accidentally broken during our drinking sessions. Changed the clumsy spelling a bit to make it my own.

Asha: Best Describe you? In one word?

Klumcee: Schizophrenic

Asha: When and How did you get started with Hip-Hop?
Do you think this genre will last or will people get tired of it?

KlumceeI started listening to Hiphop/Rap Music when i was 7. I started getting into Hiphop more when i did some research, i found out more about its culture and my life's story in it narrated by several different artists.

People get tired when there's no progress, when ALL talented and great artists start to halfass their works. That just might be it. It would die down for a time, until another hip hop hero rises up to save the day.

Asha: Who were your Music influences?

Klumcee: All the great musicians, famous or not (from the songwriters, producers, performers and most importantly the sound engineers!)

Asha: What Hip-Hop albums did you grow up listening to?

Klumcee: Andrew E, FrancisM (Yo, Freeman), Markie D, MastaPlann (Way of the Plann) 2pac (Me Against The World, All Eyez On Me), Cypress Hill (Temple Of Boom), Beastie Boys (ill Communication), Biggie (Life After Death), Nutty Professor Soundtrack, Judgment Night Soundtrack, The Show Soundtrack, WuTang (36 Chamber, Forever), Luniz (Operation Stackola), Outkast, Warren G. BoneThugsNHarmony (E.1999)

Asha: What would be your dream collaboration with any Rapper or Producer?

Klumcee: Kendrick Lamar and Skrillex

Asha: Since there are so many great Street Hip Hoppers, what determines who gets to the top? How              can you become a Famous Rapper?

Klumcee: Do your research and keep updated with what is happening around you, take your craft seriously, do not over complicate, do not procrastinate, patience hardwork and consistency is gold, study the classics.. repeat the process, it dont end, if you get stuck in that cycle that means you are bound for something really great.

Asha: How do you separate yourself from other artists?

Klumcee: Having my own style.

Asha: What do you usually do aside from Writing Songs, Producing Beats and being a Rapper?

Klumcee: Nothing more, that's just it. more research i guess.

Asha: Whats the difference of this generation's Music genre compare on your generation before?

Klumcee: Music from my generation when i was just a listener has changed dramatically. So many genre crossover, technicalities, digital revolution that made all these changes happen. Im happy in the current state of local hiphop or OPM as a whole, people are more aware, you cant just trick them with hype or so-called revolutionary-this-is-real-music type of shit you want to shove on everyone's throat. We have to think of how we can come up with good music that will get our message across without people getting confused. We have a voice that can influence the thinking and behaviour of people that follow us, if we really are making music to better our society, and out of love for the culture and humanity, we shouldn't be like losers instigating hatred and violence towards other artists. Instead focus that energy on making a classic musical piece that you, your followers and the whole world will be proud of.

from fliptop to his own tracks, to Blind Rhyme to
Crazy family, he's active, motivated still willing to learn
and love the industry as a whole, nakausap sya ni Lady PHS Asha Mojica
ano nga bang napag usapan nila? read below:

*note Cover picture belong to si Arlo Angeles
edited by: Me

Asha: Why do you chose your A.K.A? What does it mean?

Asha: How did you get started with Hip-Hop? Do you think this genre will last or will people get tired of it? Who were your music influences?

Asha: What would be your dream collaboration with any rapper or producer?

Asha: Since there are so many great Street Hip Hoppers, what determines who gets to the top?

Asha: How do you separate yourself from other artists?

Crazymix: di ko alam hahaha.. bawat artists naman may iba-ibang paraan at style e..

Asha: What will they (Your Fans/ Supporter) expect from you? this year?

WHERE ARE THEY NOW: Where is SYKE by Asha

Lady PHS Asha manage to interview sir SYKE
ano nga bang napag-usapan nilang dalawa? read the interview below:

Asha: Why do you chose your ALIAS? What does it mean?

SYKE: Galing sa pangalan kong Isowai Todake. parang spelling. s-y-to-the-ke. syke.
seriously, during my high school days, we were called by our last name. my real name is mykl syco, so my classmates called me syke.

Asha: Best Describe you? In one word?

SYKE: Syke.

Asha: When and How did you get started with Hip-Hop?

SYKE: Nasa grade 5 ako nung pinabasa ako ng tula ng aking guro. binabasa kong parang kantang give peace a chance ng the beatles. sabi niya, break it down. sabi ko, peace out.

Asha: Do you think this genre will last or will people get tired of it?

SYKE: Nagbabago ang tugtugan from time to time. ang napapagod at umaalis, naiinitan sa kusina.

Asha: Who were your Music influences?

SYKE: Buklod.

Asha: What Hip-Hop albums did you grow up listening to?

SYKE: Mastaplann. death threat. legit misfitz. 4 east flava. h-bom. svc.

Asha: What would be your dream collaboration with any Rapper or Producer?

SYKE: i am their dream collaboration.

Asha: Since there are so many great Street Hip Hoppers, what determines who gets to the top?

SYKE: Getting out from the underground scene will get you to the top. maraming gustong sumikat pero ugaling underground, kaya pag sinubukang mag mainstream, tunog sell out. gumawa ng kantang naaayon sa pinaglalaban mo pero maayos naman na alam mong magugustuhan ng karamihan.

Asha: How can you become a Famous Rapper?

SYKE: Eat well. sleep well. stay healthy. para kahit hindi maging famous, busog at malusog.
but seriously, you don't need to be sikat. you just need to be significant.

Asha: How do you separate yourself from other artists?

SYKE: uhm… i'll stay away from them.

Asha: Any Plans of Coming back?

SYKE: I'm never gone.
"akala mo nawala kaya parang nagbalik." tanyag. loonie. unltrasound.

Asha: Any Future related Hip-Hop Projects?

Asha: What do you usually do aside from Writing Songs and being a Rapper?

SYKE: I make music videos for some friends.

Asha: Whats the difference of this generation's Music genre compared to your generation before?

Asha: So, what are your thoughts on the current state of the game?

SYKE: Naging malawak ang palaruan. maraming manlalaro.

Asha: What will they (Your Fans/ Supporter) expect from you?

SYKE: Always expect the unexpected.

Asha: This year?

SO RANDOM INTERVIEW with Danielle Jane (DJ) Redondo

Im became a fan of her when i saw her in BIKEWARS
i have no idea who she was and what she do, till i have a chance
to get her name and do some research, after having a little conversation
with her i became more of a fan, definitely she's not just about good looks
so what have we discuss? read below:

PHS: What is your profession young lady?

DJ: Im an undergrad of BSA ( accountancy ) tho my frst course was Advanced medicine ( what i really love ) Im planning to shift to tourism next sem tho and transfer to a different university.. Mejo magulo ako ngaun all i know is i have to finish my studies nlng
My baby's studying nadin kasi

PHS: Accountancy to medicine to tourism? those courses are not even related to one another.

DJ: Ikr hahaha. Well when i took my exam sa dlsu before.. 3 choices na nilagay ko dun 1st - human biology 2nd accountancy and 3rd psychology. Luckily i passed naman the exams so pde ko take any dun sa 3 courses

I dreamt of being a surgeon tlga kasi.. Pero i love numbers thats why may accountancy dun.. Then nung tinake ko accountancy ngayon .. Sobrang konti lng ung computation stuff most people use calculators pa nga sa easy problems..

Di ko enjoy business courses so un
Tourism naman. I like the course din tlga pero kasi gusto ng family ko before na yung may licensure exam

PHS: So with all this how did you enter this modeling thingy?
you have a baby but you never look like your  a mom, so tourism kn tlg?
etong modeling career mo how did it start? do you remember the first time?
Do you remember how did they ask you?

DJ: Well i really wanna model..

SO RANDOM INTERVIEW: with Mark Dexter Lau

* so again SO RANDOM interview with professionals, outside the hip hop world.
we can't ignore them, as one day we might do business with them. Im always interested
to models and photographers, so learn with me guys.  And i hope to not explain featuring
non hip hop related personalities in the future. READ. LEARN. and ENJOY

PHS: what your current profession sir?

Mark Dexter Lau: Im still a student. On my last term na, as intern sa BMLab. At the same time freelance artist din ako bilang vfx artist, cinematographer, sa freetime ko gumagawa ako ng mga fine art portraits

PHS: That means alot, ... fine art portrait? what do you mean by that?
what does vfx artist do? is this stands for visual effects?
and what course did you take?

Mark Dexter Lau: Fine art portrait. photography din sya pero difference is there is manipulation in the photograph, can be in the set or in editing.
sample

yup vfx is visual effects some of my works https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xy0Pm-Gz7vA
im taking up multimedia arts in asia pacific college

PHS:  Whoaaaaa... asia pacific college... salute...Whats inspires you to take multi media arts?

PHS:  So this is like photography, photo and video editing,... do you guys still do manual drawings,
i mean the traditional art?

PHS: So that means na may mga tradtional art din pla sa multi media art, to be honest with you im a fine art student myself. but fine arts and multi media although almost the same are different as well.
ano ang pinaka forte mo?

Mark Dexter Lau: Pinakaforte ko eh cinematography, and video editing.

PHS: So minimal photography?

PHS: I see, but miss jozza recommended you to me as a photographer.

Mark Dexter Lau: I can do photography naman. same lang din sya sa cinematography, difference eh hindi moving ang subject sa photography

PHS: do you have sample of your works in photography?

Mark Dexter Lau: (links given)

PHS: Do you have any certain style to what you do?

PHS: I see that's nice and that's a style indeed, Meron ka bang mai papayo to people who wanna try multimedia arts?

PHS: Tama, i have this friend who told me "you can't rush art" is there's any site that we can check about you? i mean your works, and art? so we can promote it as well?

Mark Dexter Lau: I have a vimeo and youtube account where I post my personal works, pero wala pa akong sariling site or facebook page, I am planning to make one soon.

PHS: So The only way they can look about you is your fb account?
