Asha: Why do you chose your ALIAS? What does it mean?

SYKE: Galing sa pangalan kong Isowai Todake. parang spelling. s-y-to-the-ke. syke.

seriously, during my high school days, we were called by our last name. my real name is mykl syco, so my classmates called me syke.

Asha: Best Describe you? In one word?

SYKE: Syke.

Asha: When and How did you get started with Hip-Hop?

SYKE: Nasa grade 5 ako nung pinabasa ako ng tula ng aking guro. binabasa kong parang kantang give peace a chance ng the beatles. sabi niya, break it down. sabi ko, peace out.

Asha: Do you think this genre will last or will people get tired of it?

SYKE: Nagbabago ang tugtugan from time to time. ang napapagod at umaalis, naiinitan sa kusina.

Asha: Who were your Music influences?

SYKE: Buklod.

Asha: What Hip-Hop albums did you grow up listening to?

SYKE: Mastaplann. death threat. legit misfitz. 4 east flava. h-bom. svc.

Asha: What would be your dream collaboration with any Rapper or Producer?

SYKE: i am their dream collaboration.

Asha: Since there are so many great Street Hip Hoppers, what determines who gets to the top?

SYKE: Getting out from the underground scene will get you to the top. maraming gustong sumikat pero ugaling underground, kaya pag sinubukang mag mainstream, tunog sell out. gumawa ng kantang naaayon sa pinaglalaban mo pero maayos naman na alam mong magugustuhan ng karamihan. 

Asha: How can you become a Famous Rapper?

SYKE: Eat well. sleep well. stay healthy. para kahit hindi maging famous, busog at malusog.

but seriously, you don't need to be sikat. you just need to be significant.

Asha: How do you separate yourself from other artists?

SYKE: uhm… i'll stay away from them.

Asha: Any Plans of Coming back?

SYKE: I'm never gone.

Asha: What do you usually do aside from Writing Songs and being a Rapper?

SYKE: I make music videos for some friends.

Asha: Whats the difference of this generation's Music genre compared to your generation before?

SYKE: Dati, amboy lang ang rappers. ilan lang ang nagtatagalog. ngayon, lahat na may facebook.

Asha: So, what are your thoughts on the current state of the game?

SYKE: Naging malawak ang palaruan. maraming manlalaro. 

Asha: What will they (Your Fans/ Supporter) expect from you?

SYKE: Always expect the unexpected.

SYKE: Maraming mas mahalagang bagay na kailangang pagtuunan ng pansin. next year na. busy pa.

PHS: Can you give us a little preview of your career?

K.I.: To start with,i was one of the founding member of TDP (a local hiphop prod.here in batangas city),also a member of a hiphop group called Lamarga,which eventually became a part of Rapskalliion along with Krazykyle,Hash One,and many others.

PHS: What are the things you currently up to?

K.I.: Im currently busy with my small business here in batanagas.selling shirts etc.

(ARS streetwear with my good friend Totz Hernandez).also busy writing some new songs/materials with my band Morphine Kings. 

PHS: Your best contribution to the hiphop community?

K.I.: Hindi ko alam kung ano talaga na-contribute ko sa hiphop community dito sa pinas.siguro yung mga kanta ko na nagawa before.sana it has affect change.o kaya naman eh panggalingan ng inspirasyon ng mga bagong manunulat sa larangan ng hiphop. 

PHS: Any plans of coming back? or other future hiphop related project?

K.I.: For sure i'll be back pero with my band Morphine kings.i also did some songs with mike kosa and mike swift and other local hiphop artist.

PHS: Opinion on the current state of local hiphop?

K.I.: On my opinion mas lumalaki na ang market na hiphop ngayon.dumadami na ang mga opportunities para sa mga bagong artist ngayon to show their skills.madami na din ang mga gigs and events na ang feature ay mga hiphop artist.tuloy-tuloy lang at sana maiwasan na ang hate.isang musika,isang industriya lang ang ginagalawan natin.hindi malabo na magkita-kita kaya increase the peace na lang.sabi nga ni mike uso na ang peace.

First things first! who is SNAP?
Snapper's spectacle of her ability to merge her passions into her work.Her imagination perplexing street fashion and music...From Hip Hop Culture to Asian fashion,her fetish, love for fashion and music began early. Growing up in the city of angels Los Angeles,California. In the mid 90's she was receptive of the whole party scene and distinguish different crews wich portray unconventional attire,influenced by the entire westcoast gangsta rap music she fell in love with Hip Hop.

Queen bee of the hive. Don’t let her looks deceive you, she can bust a nut on the mic and represents the Oriental gee style.
This Hip Hop heroine astound the local hip hop scene with her class and style rhyming her way to the top. She will soon ascent in the Hip Hop scene with her anticipated solo album as Official Wika's First Lady she made her mark on Pinoy Hip Hop.

Mizz Snapper indeed have a bright future in local hiphop

way back when she was active, she's beautiful, have the needed talent,

and a total package but all of a sudden she's nowhere to be found.

so what happen to her? what is she up to lately?

luckily were able to get some answers from mizz Snapper herself.

PHS: Can you give us a little preview of your career? and the things you currently up to?

Snapper: As of now I'm currently busy with family business and very hands on with my 1 yr old babyboy .. Little preview of the said career (in the music industry?) I never really released an album although I was getting deals and a lot of offer from label exec. But I was told to wait.. For the perfect time..  I was active for 4yrs in the local scene pushing a movement that I believed in before.. Trynna help people who believe in their talent and skills..

PHS: Your best contribution to the hiphop community?

Snapper: I'm not going to be a hypocrite and claim I did so much for the scene when there's so many heads out there who struggles everyday to put the local scene in a prominent spot in the music industry .. Seriously, hands down to everyone who is consistent day in and day out ..

PHS: Any plans of coming back? or other future hiphop related project?

Snapper:  I always get messages from rappers/producers to do a collabo or produce a collabo album.. Hey you never know right.. I might get my fire back ..

PHS: Opinion on the current state of local hiphop?

Snapper: All I can say is that having the opportunity now to be outside the circle  to actually hear other peoples opinion about certain things made me realize a lot.. The problem with local scene before if your stuck in a camp you only hear the opinion of that camp you know what I'm sayin.. Although now I've seen a lot of changes .. The Local Scene can make it if the "hate" is less.. They should empower one another .. The local scene is like a sleepin dragon it's just a matter of time ..

i know mizz Snapper personally  as i met her before and share some words with her

and she is indeed beautiful, talented and very and i mean VERY

down to earth lady, no matter what road she takes

i know things will be successful to everything
(being femcee, modeling, or having her own business name it)

PHS: Can you give us a little preview of your career & things you currently up to?

Hotnixx: Music is pretty far from me right now, I’m currently helping my sister on her franchise of Picole healthy ice pops, and I’m in the works of managing an online shop. Aside from those stuff I’m also into training MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) hoping to compete again soon, shoutouts to the teams I train with, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu team Deftac Pilipinas, Prize Fighter Gym, Fight Republic and Elorde Boxing Gym. Teammates from Elorde and Prize Fighter did put up a new team (no name yet lol) so look out for that. 

PHS: your best contribution to the hiphop community?

Hotnixx: My best contribution to the hiphop community? The music, the performances and most of all as an inspiration to others. We all affect people’s lives, one way or another. So as artists we all should be true to ourselves to set a good example to the new ones. Stay humble.

PHS: any plans of coming back? or other future hiphop related project?

Hotnixx: Do I have any plans of coming back? I really don’t know, no plans yet but hey! Few weeks ago I recorded a verse on Chrizo’s studio, so who knows? lol ofcourse I miss the whole hiphop scene as of now I don’t see myself performing on stage, but im down on recording tracks.

PHS: your opinion on the current state of local hiphop?

Hotnixx: The local hiphop scene is doing its job right now everyone’s making moves especially the battle scene, they’re doing a good job in keeping it interesting. Thanks to everyone who’s supporting the local hiphop artists, and most of all thanks to Pinoy Hiphop Superstar for educating people about the local hiphop scene. Peace and Godbless!!!

SVC (Sun Valley Crew)

Sun Valley Crew started in 1995. It was formed by Ryan Armamento ( Rye ) and Joseph Papa (Puff A-J). A year after, they met Ryan Ventura (Slimm) and RJ Señeres (Ill-J) who, at that time, were part of their own group, Phreak Phunktion. The guys hooked up and started recording SVC’s self-titled debut album, under Universal Records.

PHS: Can you give us a little preview of your career & things you currently up to?

I'll J: I am the President and CEO of the OFW Family Club, a Non Government Organization helping distressed OFWs and families. The OFW Family Club is also an accredited Party List where I sit as President and my Dad, Roy V. Seneres Sr sits as Congressman representing OFWs and families in Congress. My job is to spearhead the help for distressed OFWs through welfare and legal assistance and to assist our Congressman in crafting legislation for the protection of OFWs and families.

I am 100% focused on my job/calling as head of the OFW Family Club and I am also focused being a husband to my wonderful wife Monique and a Father to two amazing kids, Kiana and Brandon.

PHS: your best contribution to the hiphop community?

I'll J: My best contribution/s to the hip hop community are SVC albums, self titled, Reality Check A New Beginning, Its All Natural, and my two solo albums namely The Journey and Logic For Reason.

PHS: any plans of coming back? or other future hiphop related project?

I'll J: I do dream of coming back but my time in meeting and helping distressed OFWs eats up most if my time for now. I still want to improve on my work and be the best I can be at it. If I feel I reached that point, then maybe I can shift my focus back to music. But until then, my calling leads me to this current path that I'm in.

PHS: your opinion on the current state of local hiphop?

I'll J: The current state of hip hop is strong evidenced by Flip Top, Urban Pinas Radio, Pinoy Hip Hop Superstar and similar pages in FB and different Social Media sites, endless talent, endless music. I am a fan of a bunch of guys like Gloc 9, Bambu, Uprising, Flip Top Battle MCs, Loonie, just to name a few.
