Biography
Jared Celemin and Karen Toyoshima have combined a love for DJing and music production to become a diverting force field—as a duo producer and DJ ensemble—within the Philippines Electronic Dance Music scene.
Jared Celemin
Producer and DJ
He was born in the Philippines, and moved to the U.S. at age 10, first living in Chicago, then moved to entertainment capital, Los Angeles in 2012. Specializing in house, dubstep and trap, he has played at Lollapalooza, held a DJ residency in Chicago and toured with apl.de.ap of the Black Eyed Peas. Open up for Steve Aoki in Aragon theater. Jared’s influences range from Capsule, Laidback Luke, Daft Punk, Nirvana, Guns & Roses, Steve Aoki and Bloody Beetroots to Justice, Boyz Noise—and apl.de.ap. His preferred Digital Audio Workstation is the Ableton, and favorite VST tools are Massive and Sylenth. Uses Apc40 and Traktor for his dj set up.
Karen Toyoshima
Actress and DJ
Half Japanese and Half Filipino but was born and raised in the Philippines. Currently a student at Assumption College Makati taking up Bachelor of Communication Major in Theater Arts and Media Education. Excelled at most of many and varied hobbies like Pole Dancing and LED Poi. Worked with some of the biggest names in the Acting Industry, was part of different acting companies in the Philippines and did several productions under Ana Valdes-Lim and ABS-CBN. There she continued the trend of just meeting her potential on taking new challenges. She got into DJing because of the person she loves. Since then, music has built up her perseverance through frustration and tears, made strong relationships with those who share music as a common interest with her.
